3.5.1 LogisticsManagement(LM)

Founded in 2003, the Logistics Management major at Guangdong Peizheng College is among the earliest institutions nationwide to offer this program and recruit students.

It currently has more than 500 enrolled students, offering programs at both four-year undergraduate and upgrading from college to undergraduate levels. In line with the national philosophy of integrating industry and education, the undergraduate Logistics Management program has established a cooperative education partnership with Guangzhou Baijie Education Investment Co., Ltd., leveraging complementary strengths. Additionally, it has collaborated with a number of leading logistics and related enterprises to build internship bases and implement an industry-education integrated education model.

The employment rate of undergraduate graduates reaches 100%, while the employment rate for upgrading-from-college-to-undergraduate graduates stands at approximately 98%. Its social recognition and graduate satisfaction rank third among the 46 undergraduate majors of the university.

The program currently has 15 full-time faculty members, including 4 professors and associate professors, accounting for 25% of the total. 100% of the faculty hold postgraduate degrees or above. Several teachers have overseas study experience and practical enterprise work experience, and most graduated from prestigious Project 985 and Project 211 universities. The teaching team has won numerous awards and holds many invention patents. It has published more than 200 academic papers in journals such as Peking University Core journals, as well as over 30 monographs. Faculty members have presided over or participated in more than 150 research projects at national, provincial, and municipal levels.

Keeping pace with the times, the program offers two competitive specialized directions: International Logistics and Smart Logistics for Manufacturing Industries. It emphasizes the cultivation of innovative thinking and methodologies, practical and simplified optimization techniques, and proficiency in smart logistics technologies. Students are trained to master software including Excel and Python, so as to meet the demands of social and economic development as well as the future development of the logistics industry.

3.5.2 Marketing(MKT)

The Marketing program at Guangdong Peizheng College traces its origins to the Department of Market Studies, which was established in October 1998. Initially, the department offered two majors: International Trade and Marketing, with a small faculty of 4 full-time teachers and 260 students.

In 2006, the college was officially upgraded to a undergraduate institution, and the Marketing undergraduate program was approved and began enrolling students. In 2010, the program was granted the authority to confer Bachelor of Management degrees in Marketing.

A significant milestone occurred on September 10, 2013, when the School of Management was established. This new school integrated the resources of the former Department of Business Administration and the Department of Market Studies, and the Marketing program became a core part of this newly formed school.

The Marketing program was approved for establishment in 2011 and began enrolling students in September of the same year. It was designated as a school-level key major in 2015 and a school-level top-notch major in December 2021. The program is currently undergoing ACBSP business accreditation. There are currently 1,119 students enrolled in the program.

The program offers specializations in "Channel Management of Marketing" and "Integrated Marketing Communication." An innovative "New Media" class was launched starting from the 2018 cohort, aiming to cultivate new media marketing talents.

The program has 22 full-time faculty members, 100% of whom hold a master's or doctoral degree. In terms of professional titles, the faculty includes 6 with associate professor titles or above and 7 lecturers.

3.5.3 E-commerce (EC)

Introduction to the Department of E-Commerce(EC)

The Department of E-Commerce, rooted in Guangdong and strategically aligned with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, actively responds to the demands of regional economic and social development, with a particular focus on Guangdong's digital commerce and industrial chain upgrading. The program is committed to cultivating students with strong patriotic commitment, sound moral character, and a profound sense of social responsibility, achieving the comprehensive quality goals of holistic development in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education. Students are expected to identify and articulate fundamental theories and general knowledge in the field of e-commerce, recognize the functional boundaries and application scenarios of AI and big data tools, and apply these tools to analyze complex issues in e-commerce operations, digital marketing, and cross-border business. They are trained to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of diverse strategic solutions and creatively complete end-to-end solutions encompassing market analysis, strategic planning, operational execution, and data-driven review. Graduates are primarily employed in e-commerce operations, business data analytics, cross-border e-commerce, and related positions, with career progression toward roles such as Operations Supervisor, Data Analytics Manager, and Cross-Border E-Commerce Business Director.

Faculty

The Department of E-Commerce is committed to the continuous enhancement of its faculty and has established a well-structured, high-caliber team of full-time and part-time educators. The department currently employs 23 full-time faculty members, including 1 Research Fellow, 2 Associate Professors, 2 Lecturers, and 15 Teaching Assistants, reflecting a balanced and reasonable distribution in terms of academic rank and age. The team is characterized by its vitality and youthfulness, with a strong overall educational background and promising development momentum. The department boasts 4 "Dual-Qualified and Dual-Competency" teachers, demonstrating a robust integration of academic expertise and practical proficiency. In terms of faculty development, the department encourages overseas academic visits and doctoral studies at renowned international institutions. Currently, 5 faculty members are pursuing doctoral degrees, and 11 hold overseas study credentials, enabling the integration of cutting-edge international pedagogical concepts into the classroom and effectively broadening students' global perspectives. Furthermore, leveraging the Digital and Intelligent Commerce Industry College, the department actively engages corporate mentors in teaching and practical guidance, establishing a dual-mentor system—combining on-campus faculty and industry practitioners—that has tangibly enhanced students' applied competencies.

Research and Teaching Reform

The faculty of the Department of E-Commerce has achieved prolific outcomes in both research and teaching reform. Faculty members have been awarded 11 provincial-level and above research and teaching reform projects, including 4 Ministry of Education Industry-Academia Cooperation Talent Development Projects, 1 Provincial Young Innovative Talent Project, 2 Provincial Education Evaluation Association Projects, 1 Provincial Key Field Teaching Resource Development Project, 1 Provincial Higher Education Association Project, 1 Provincial Industry College Project, and 1 Provincial Curriculum Ideology and Politics Demonstration Project. Additionally, the department has secured 11 university-level research and teaching reform projects, comprising 3 University-Level Teaching Quality and Teaching Reform Projects, 3 University-Level Young Faculty Research Projects, 1 University-Level Curriculum Ideology and Politics Demonstration Team Project, 1 University-Level Textbook Development Project, and 3 College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program Projects. In terms of scholarly output, faculty members have published a total of 52 papers, including 2 in core journals and indexed by EI. Regarding curriculum development, 2 courses have been designated as University-Level Blended Online-Offline First-Class Undergraduate Courses, and 3 courses have been recognized as University-Level Curriculum Ideology and Politics Demonstration Projects. In teaching competitions, faculty teams have secured the Third Prize in the Provincial Teaching Innovation Competition, the Second and Third Prizes in the University-Level Teaching Innovation Competition, and the First Prize in the University-Level Young Faculty Teaching Competition. Additionally, 6 faculty members have received awards in divisional and university-level demonstration teaching competitions, including 2 First Prizes, 2 Second Prizes, and 1 Third Prize at the divisional level, as well as 1 Third Prize at the university level. In terms of individual faculty honors, 2 have been recognized as University-Level Outstanding Teachers, 2 have received the University-Level Advanced Individual in Faculty Ethics Award, 2 have been awarded the University-Level Third Prize for Teaching Excellence, and 4 have been designated as University-Level Dual-Qualified Teachers.

Practical Teaching Facilities

The department maintains 5 modern specialized training laboratories, encompassing the Information Systems Training Lab, E-Commerce Training Lab, Business Intelligence Lab, and E-Commerce Operations Simulation Lab. Each laboratory is equipped with advanced instructional equipment and software, comprehensively addressing the core practical teaching needs of e-commerce operations, data analytics, and intelligent technology applications. These facilities provide students with an immersive practice-oriented learning environment, facilitating the seamless integration of theoretical knowledge with hands-on application and effectively enhancing professional competencies.

Industry-Education Integration

Industry-education integration constitutes a distinctive feature and key strength of the E-Commerce program. The department has established a deep partnership with Baijie Education through the co-founded Digital and Intelligent Commerce Industry College, actively exploring innovative talent cultivation models. Concurrently, the department has collaborated with multiple renowned enterprises to launch a series of specialized training initiatives, including the JD Logistics "Jingmiao Program," the Suning & Douyin E-Commerce Operations Training Program, the Dianyue Cross-Border E-Commerce Advanced Practical Training Program, the Tianqing Tiantuo Online Traffic Generation Practicum, and the DEWU "Zaolang" Plan Practicum. These programs are closely aligned with industry demands, incorporating real-world enterprise cases and project resources. Through deep engagement in these practical activities, students accumulate invaluable hands-on experience, substantially enhancing their employability.

Student Competitions and Practical Achievements

The department places high emphasis on cultivating students' practical competencies and actively encourages participation in prestigious competitions, including the "Internet+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the National College Students E-Commerce Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Challenge, and the Rural E-Commerce Livestreaming Competition. In recent years, students have achieved outstanding results across multiple competitions, demonstrating robust professional capabilities and innovative thinking, and underscoring the effectiveness of the department's practice-oriented teaching approach.

The Department of E-Commerce is unwavering in its commitment to deepening educational and pedagogical reform, strengthening its distinctive industry-education integration, and continuously enhancing talent cultivation quality. The department strives to nurture a greater number of high-caliber, versatile applied talents, contributing to the development of the digital commerce industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

3.5.4 Cross-Border E-Commerce(CBEC)

Established in 2023, the Cross-Border E-Commerce program currently enrolls 220 students across three cohorts (2023–2025), with two administrative classes per grade level. It is now designated as a university-level first-class program and a high-level program development site, committed to cultivating interdisciplinary applied talents with global perspectives and digital literacy in cross-border e-commerce.

The program has a dedicated faculty team of 9 full-time teachers, all holding master's degrees or above, with academic titles ranging from associate professor to lecturer and teaching assistant. Among them, 7 faculty members hold intermediate-level professional skills certificates, such as E-Commerce Designer, Economist, and Cross-Border E-Commerce Designer. Three iteachers have over three years of industry experience in cross-border e-commerce, and some have entrepreneurial backgrounds, giving the team a solid combination of theoretical expertise and practical industry know-how.

In terms of practical training resources, the program has already established a Cross-Border E-Commerce Laboratory and an Integrated E-Commerce Training Room. Additionally, three new AI-integrated training facilities are under construction—namely the Cross-Border AI Smart E-Commerce Operations Training Room, the Cross-Border Supply Chain and Product Selection Training Room, and the Digital Trade Compliance and Customs Affairs Training Room. These facilities feature AI-powered big data product selection zones and smart logistics collaborative operation areas, and are scheduled for completion and delivery in September 2026.

On the industry-academic cooperation front, the program has signed partnership agreements with 9 enterprises, including industry leaders such as Guangzhou SHEIN Technology Co., Ltd., Zhongshan Rongdian Electric Co., Ltd., and Foshan Aid Outdoor Equipment Co., Ltd. A preliminary collaborative education mechanism integrating production and education has been established.

Over the past three years, faculty members have published more than 20 research papers and secured nearly 30 research projects, including 3 projects funded by the Ministry of Education and 2 provincial-level projects. They have also received over 20 awards in various teaching competitions, with multiple honors at or above the provincial level, and have participated in more than 30 faculty training sessions. Under their guidance, students have won 3 first-prize awards in provincial-level academic competitions and have achieved first prize in the National Digital Trade Skills Competition for two consecutive years. In curriculum development, the program has built 2 high-quality courses and was honored with the university-level Outstanding Teaching Team Award for Curriculum-Based Ideological and Political Education.

3.5.5 HospitalityManagement(HM)

The Tourism Management Program at Guangdong Peizheng College, established in 2014, is an application-oriented undergraduate program currently pursuing ACBSP international accreditation. The program emphasizes outcome-based education, industry integration, and digital transformation in the tourism and hospitality sector.

It offers two career-oriented tracks—Digital and Smart Cultural Tourism, and International Tourism—aimed at cultivating globally competent, practice-ready graduates with strong cross-cultural communication skills, digital literacy, and professional adaptability, aligned with the development of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area as a world-class tourism hub.

The program is supported by a qualified faculty team of 19 full-time instructors, including 10 with international academic backgrounds. Over 25% hold senior professional titles, and 62% are dual-qualified professionals with both academic and industry experience, ensuring strong integration of theory and practice.

The curriculum integrates core tourism management knowledge with emerging fields such as smart tourism, big data analytics, and artificial intelligence applications, supported by a structured four-stage experiential learning model linking classroom learning, simulation training, enterprise practice, and capstone projects.

The program has established long-term partnerships with nearly 20 leading enterprises, including Guangdong Chimelong Group, Guangzhou Sunac Land Resort, The Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou, and other prominent organizations in the cultural tourism and hospitality industries. It also collaborates with the SEG Swiss Education Group to provide international progression pathways for students pursuing overseas further education.

Students consistently demonstrate strong performance in professional certification examinations, disciplinary competitions, and innovation projects. Graduates enjoy excellent career prospects, with many employed by leading tourism and hospitality organizations, OTA platforms, theme parks, and government agencies, while others pursue postgraduate studies at prestigious universities in China and overseas.

3.5.6 Human ResourcesManagement(HRM)

The Human Resource Management (HRM) program at Guangdong Peizheng College was officially approved for establishment in 2003 and commenced enrollment of undergraduate students in 2007. In 2015, it was recognized as a core program within the university’s Class A Key Development Discipline of Business Administration. In 2021, it was accredited as a distinctive and competitively advantaged program under the School of Management’s key development plan. The program is currently pursuing international accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

The program offers two distinctive career-cluster tracks, namely Labor Relations and Talent Services for Global Expansion, with a curriculum that is deeply integrated with cutting-edge digital and intelligent technologies, and is strategically designed to cultivate high-caliber, application-oriented professionals well-suited to the digital economy era.

The program is supported by a well-structured, highly competent, and dedicated faculty team. It currently comprises 24 full-time instructors, many of whom have overseas academic experience. Nearly 30% of the faculty hold senior professional titles, and 40% possess “dual-qualification” credentials, signifying proficiency in both academic instruction and practical industry expertise.

The program has achieved notable accomplishments in curriculum development, having established multiple model courses integrating ideological and political education, as well as several first-class courses. It has undertaken a number of provincial-level teaching quality improvement and educational improvement projects. Faculty members have published over 20 monographs and textbooks, authored more than 60 academic papers, and led over 20 research projects funded at the municipal or higher levels.

Students have demonstrated exceptional performance in high-level academic competitions, earning accolades including the Second Prize in the National College Students’ Human Resource Management Comprehensive Competency Competition and the First Prize in the National Finals of the National University Digital and Intelligent Business Decision-Making Innovation Competition.

In the realm of industry–education integration, the program has established stable university–industry partnerships with several well-known enterprises, including Guangdong Honghai Human Resources Co., Ltd., Seentao Technology Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Jingchuang Education Technology Co., Ltd. Collaborative efforts have led to the co-construction of a comprehensive digital-intelligent HR training laboratory and a third-party HR management training laboratory. These initiatives have yielded substantial outcomes, with the graduate employment rate consistently exceeding 97% over consecutive years and receiving widespread acclaim from employers.

3.5.7 BusinessAdministration(BA)

The Business Administration major at Guangdong Peizheng College was approved as a provincial-level key cultivation discipline in 2016 and passed the review and acceptance by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education in 2022. In the same year, it was approved as a "Comprehensive Reform Pilot Major" by the Department, and was rated as a provincial-level first-class undergraduate program construction site in 2021. In 2023, the provincial key discipline of Business Administration passed the provincial-level acceptance review. The Management course has been recognized as a "first-class undergraduate course" at the college level. The program currently enrolls a large number of full-time undergraduates, ranking among the top in the school. It is currently undergoing ACBSP business accreditation. The program offers two specializations: "Enterprise Digital Intelligence Operations" and "International Business Management." The major has 27 full-time faculty members, including 3 professors, 6 associate professors, 1 associate research fellow, 1 with a doctoral degree, 5 lecturers, and 3 currently pursuing a doctorate. 100% of the full-time faculty members hold a graduate degree. In 2024, the program won a national first prize in the 14th National College Students E-commerce "Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship" Challenge. The teaching of the program is supported by multiple professional training platforms, including the Enterprise Digital Intelligence Training Lab, ERP Simulation Lab, and Cross-disciplinary Business Simulation Lab, and has established off-campus internship bases with more than 40 enterprises. The college has co-founded the Rural Revitalization Industry College in collaboration with the Huadu District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau and the Huadu District E-commerce Chamber of Commerce, achieving initial success in industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation.
